How is the MS Mighty Swim a COVID Safe event?
The MS Mighty Swim team is taking every necessary precaution and following all Federal and State Government guidelines to protect the health and wellbeing of our participants, spectators and volunteers. The COVID safe measures we have in place include:
- COVIDSafe Plan approved by the relevant federal, state and local health authorities.
- All participants, spectators and staff will be required to wear masks if unable to physically distance - except when swimming, eating and drinking.
- We will have specifically appointed COVID Safety Marshals.
- The event check in area will support physical distancing.
Why was the date of the MS Mighty Swim changed?
On 20 January 2022, MS Society SA & NT announced that it has decided to postpone the 2022 MS Mighty Swim to the new date of 9 & 10 April 2022. The health and wellbeing of our MS community and MS Mighty Swim event supporters is our number one priority. There is a natural sense of uncertainty in the state with the recent increase of COVID-19 cases in South Australia. By changing the date of the event, we hope that there will be no barriers to our community and supporters safely attending the MS Mighty Swim. Read the full announcement here.
